About Hollis Motors Bill Hollis and his wife Miki established Hollis Motors in the old Dover Tramways Depot on Crabble Hill in 1964 (you can still see the tram rails!). Soon after, the Volkswagen franchise started operation and within a short time Bill and Miki were joined by their two children, Sarah and Billy, who had both been working for a firm of local chartered accountants. The Audi franchise joined Hollis Motors a few years later.

Billy underwent extensive training at the main Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, West Germany in 1970 and on his return continued advanced managerial and technical training with Volkswagen UK. He is the holder of both Gold and Diamond awards for outstanding services to Volkswagen and Audi. Bill Hollis passed away in 1984, but his wife Miki continued working in the business until the age of 91! Sadly, she passed away in 2007.

Our longest serving employee is our Parts Manager Andrew Waller who this year will have clocked up 46 years!!
